The Victorian splendour of Greenore reflects its past as railway terminal and ferry port for the Holyhead crossing. You can experience a bit of the oul’ dacency in the tea rooms and museum in the Co-op Building on Euston Street. And while you’re there you might as well check out the golf course around the corner. Keep an eye out for Finn, our resident dolphin.
Greenore Railway & Maritime Museum
In the unique former Victorian Railway Village of Greenore, discover the model Miniature Railway & Maritime museum located in the cellar of the historic Greenore Co-operative building, and hear the stories of the village in the Victorian era.
The first floor also houses a Victorian style Tea Rooms where you can enjoy Afternoon Tea while dressing in the finery of bygone days. Also on offer are breakfast baps, freshly made sandwiches, delicious cakes, as well as ice cream, soft drinks and confectionery.
Fishing tackle and fishing rods are also stocked, handy for when fishing on the sea front on Carlingford Lough!
