On the 12th of April 2023,

President Joe Biden visited Carlingford Castle

The President was accompanied by his son Hunter and his Sister Valarie. He was greeted by the Táiniste Micheál Martin, and given a tour of the Castle by Gerry Hoey and Yvonne Keenan Ross from Carlingford Heritage Trust, and he enjoyed music from the Carlingford Pipe Band. Also there to greet the President was Geraldine Byrne Nason, Ambassador of Ireland to the US and Claire D. Cronin US Ambassador to Ireland.
